With key starters coming back from last year’s state run basketball team such as Senior Peyton Rowe, Senior Thomas Lambing, and Junior Kannan Wilson. Other returning varsity players consist of Seniors Noah Walton, Brayden Hochstatter, Juniors Vinny Schrum, Zane Blount, Will Chavosky and Cole Portell. Alex Hogan is also on varsity; he was a transfer this year from West County for his junior year of basketball.
They have been working extra hard this year because they lost a few seniors last year who helped the team a lot, and everyone is counting them out now, but they know they can be back in the final four and maybe even go farther this year. They have been consistently working out in the weight room doing plyometrics and other agility workouts, plus morning shoot arounds to get extra shots up.
Coach Conway said, “I believe we can go just as far this year, our boys have been putting in that extra work and they are looking really good.”
When asking Peyton Rowe what he thinks this season will look like. He said that he has a good feeling about this year, with how the Jamboree went and how our practices are going.
Their first season game will be 12/1 against Sullivan in the FCNB Bank-It Tournament.
