On Feb. 20 and 21, the Potosi High School boys wrestling team traveled to Ste. Genevieve and DeSoto to compete in the district meet.
On Friday, the boys fought hard and ended out the day in first place overall as a team. They finished day one with 52.5 points, with Ste. Genevieve trailing behind with 52. At the end of the day on Saturday, PHS had six boys qualify for the MSHSAA Wrestling State Championship, which is a new school record.
These wrestlers include Sophomore Tyson Fowler, 132 champion, Junior Carter Pyatt, 165 champion, Freshman Zeke Rorer, 106 third place, Junior Gavin Stone, 126 third place, Junior Zane Richards, 150 third place, and Junior Karsen Boyer, 175 fourth place.
The state meet will be on the 25 and 26 of Feb. at the Mizzou Arena. Congratulations to all of the state qualifiers!
